Choose a cell. Your first reveal and its neighbors are safe.

How to play

  • Reveal all non-mine cells to win. A number tells you how many mines touch that cell, including diagonals.
  • Desktop: click to reveal in Reveal mode; right-click to flag or unflag. Keyboard: Tab to a cell, then Enter or Space uses the selected mode.
  • Touch: select Reveal or Flag above the board, then tap cells. Scroll inside the board to reach more columns.
  • Flags protect cells from accidental reveals. Switch to Flag mode to remove one. The counter is mines minus flags, not a guarantee that flags are correct.
  • Your first reveal is safe, with a clear surrounding area. Empty areas open automatically. The timer begins on the first reveal and stops when the game ends.
  • Easy (9 × 9, 10 mines) gives 3 hints, Hard (16 × 16, 40 mines) gives 1, Extreme (16 × 30, 99 mines) gives none, and Nightmare packs 120 mines into 16 × 30. A hint highlights one hidden safe cell next to your cleared area. Changing difficulty or restarting resets the board.
