Checkers
American checkers with forced captures, multi-jumps and kings. Play a four-level computer or a friend.
Red to move.
How to play
- American checkers: men move one square diagonally forward on dark squares; Red (you) moves first, up the board.
- Captures are mandatory and multi-jumps must be completed — tap each landing square. Only pieces that can legally move glow.
- Reaching the far row makes a king (♛), which moves and captures backwards too; promotion ends the turn. No pieces or no legal moves loses. 40 moves each with only kings moving and no captures is a draw.
- Easy plays loosely. Hard looks 3 moves ahead. Extreme searches 6 moves with back-row and centre strategy. Nightmare searches as deep as it can in about 0.65 s and always follows forced captures to the end.
